On 19 May at the Gatti Filtrazioni Lubrificanti headquarters in Mazzano (BS), the event dedicated to Predictive Maintenance was held in collaboration with Ligarotti Elettromeccanica and DarkWave Thermo.
With Predictive Maintenance you do not react to the fault, you eliminate in advance the possibility of its occurrence and therefore that there may be an unexpected and costly downtime, because a healthy system is a long-lived and high-performance system. Efficiency, savings and safety are just some of the advantages that this type of maintenance can offer, it is considered a proactive approach to possible plant and machinery problems.
The event, divided into the morning and afternoon sessions, included a visit to the four operating stations installed by the companies involved, to show live how proper maintenance works.
The stations showed:
- Flushing bench: The first automatic system in Europe, complete with sensors for temperature, water and contamination class control, will also include live panel thermography;
- Gearmotor: Connected to a filtering system capable of cleaning the oil, monitoring its state of health in real time. Additionally, motion amplification and laser alignment will be available;
- Motor Testing All PRO: consisting of a direct current motor which checked for anomalies on the armature, field and short circuits and an alternating current motor which checked for anomalies on the three phases of the motor and on the tightness of the windings;
- Lubricant Analysis Lab and Sensors: The Lubricant Analysis Lab showed how oils are analyzed and its specifications. It is connected directly to the sensors, mounted on the customer’s system.
The objective that unites these three industrial realities is clear and innovative: to increase productivity, process management and the production cycle by aiming for the highest level of efficiency.
